Advertising agency DigitasLBi Chicago closed its doors on July 27, 2017, so that 375 employees could participate in the agency’s annual volunteer day to transform the Piccolo School of Excellence in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood for the upcoming academic year.
“We couldn't wait to go to work for Piccolo School and make a noticeable impact for the students and their community," said Morgan Carroll, Managing Director & Executive Creative Director, DigitasLBi Chicago. "Giving back is ingrained in our culture.”
This is the fourth year that DigitasLBi Chicago talent has devoted a full day to revitalizing a Chicago public school. Each year DigitasLBi's employee engagement team works with Give2Get to select a Chicago Public School in need of an exterior and interior makeover.
DigitasLBi's devotion of 1,500 hours of volunteer work per year, has left lasting impact on a different school each year: James Otis Elementary in the West Town neighborhood, the Lawndale Community Academy in North Lawndale, and the Lowell Elementary School in Humboldt Park.
